Original Tea Lesson; is it still available?

I tried to order it just in the last week or so and it is no longer available. I guess those of us who want one are headed to ebay!

I almost got it the day of Elizabeth's premier, but thought about getting it later... and now it's gone!
I called my PS and she said they are totally out of it... [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]
...so I went on ebay and got a pretty reasonable BIN of the tea lesson and the treats. I do not like the new version of the treats at all, so I am delighted to get both sets. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

They will be part of DD's Xmas present.

I know that its not on the website anymore, but that doesnt neccessarily mean anything. I just can't bring myself to like the new tea set. The pattern is alright, but I hate the color and I dont like how thick it is. I understand they are making it more durable for kids which is a good idea, but for us adults it kind of stinks [img]confused.gif[/img]

So I was sort of hoping that I could snag another tea lesson to get another cup and saucer for when I eventually get an Elizabeth. I say it that way because I still havent decided whether I will make my own or get the blonde. The movie will probably make or break my decision, LOL

Anywho, is it possible to still order this by the phone with some leftovers they might have? I never remember it becoming 'sold out' it just disappeared from the website. Thanks!

I'm like most of you - I don't care for the color or quality of the new sets. I bought the old tea lesson set last year along with the treats. But I wanted an extra tea place setting so that two dolls could have "tea" together so I ordered another blue tea cup and saucer separately as a replacement item. I also ordered the botantical print dishes and silverware from the old chocolate set as replacement parts. Try that - call AG and see if those items are available as replacement parts. You won't get a complete set, but you might get your tea cups etc.

I want to get the new tea set also, but it does have the tea caddy already. I wonder if all the other pieces of the old set are available separately as replacement parts. Does anyone know? [img]graemlins/thinking.gif[/img]

I just got off the phone with AG. I was able to order the cup/saucer, spoon and Queen's cake as replacement parts. She said the spoon would ship immediately. The other items showed as low, and couldn't say when they'd ship. I worry that they won't, but she assured me that if they were gone, it would say so. We'll see.
I'd say, order soon.
